The Bird Cage of my lifeBluebirds fluttering as joyful as my own captured heart
their sweet song welcoming the good heath within our home.
Indian Peacock feathers are so beautiful and fine yet have no comparison to the beauty of your smile when you see me enter the room,
like those tiny birds in our delicate birdcage I am ensnared in your web of desire.
Robins sing their hearts' desires just as I whisper sweet nothings to soothe you in the night,
Soft, feather light fingertips tracing those familiar curves.
Doves are so white and pure, symbolising the love we share, how Aphrodite must have planned for us to meet,
And like Noah's dove, I will guide you to our sacred place.
Cranes are the celebration of life, I dream of the night the first tiny kick makes us gasp in delight,
Our bodies snuggled close to ward away the chill of winter nights from our nest.
Albatross fly the sky, threating about the advancing roll of the storm,
I know deep in my heart that no harm will fall us while you are so near.
