Hello there! This is a critique from petit-bonheurs for the Feedback Frenzy contest :)

First off, this kitty is far too cute! :D Her eyes and nose and mouth are all so sweet, it really adds to your photo to have such an adorable little model! I like how you kind of caught this in a "candid" moment, where she isn't looking at the camera and seems to be distracted by something; true to a little kitten like this! :)

Now, for the concrit! I'd suggest choosing a different background as the window isn't really complementary to her cute little features. I notice you do not have a camera that can switch lenses, but if you did, I'd suggest using a 50mm with a wide aperture to really bring the focus to little Missy. It would help blur out the background and create some nice bokeh, but what you can try is setting a wide aperture on your camera (small number, or f stop) to help create a shallower depth of field to make Missy stand out more and the background less noticeable.

Also, the lighting is a bit uneven for my taste. It's bright in some areas and then very dark in others. Putting light in front of the subject instead of behind will help with this.

That's about all I have to say for this photo, so I hope it helps you and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! :) I hope you and Missy are doing well, and have a great day :)

Allo.! You requested this piece to get critiqued by those in FeedbackFrenzy, so here I am .

I'd like to begin this critique by saying that your subject is quite adorable in itself . Her colour stands out against the background & her ears have a nice orange colour against her black fur . The yellow from her eyes sparkle, with the white detail near the bottom of them . The light pink of the mouth gives a nice balance in colour, from the top of her head to the bottom of it .

The focus is so well defined that se can see individual strands of fur, along with her whiskers . Another thing to notice is that the focus is done so well, that we can see your reflection inside her eyes (your hair & arm) which is quite spectacular in itself . I commend you for having great focus because it is very important within an image .

There is also the light that hits her beautifully from the window, enhancing her features . Having captured her in front of the backlight shows us the different tones in her fur, as well as inside her ears . The light also brings out her eye colour, again, which is nice . The shadows hit in all the right places, giving her a lovely silhouette .

My critique for this piece would be to have cropped the image & made it a close up of her face . There isn't any need to include her body in the shot & the window above her ears, in my opinion . I feel as though all of the focus is in her face anyway, & having all that extra detail in the shot wasn't necessary . The close-up of her cute face would have made for a more sticking image, because only the important parts of the photo would have been within the frame .

Other than that, there isn't anything I can see that needs fixing.! Well done on the photo . I hope my critique helps you in the future .

Critique for FF ^^

So cuuttee~ I love cats!
I love the focus on her eyes, and her expression is adorable! Though the white window offers nice contrast to her, it's a little distracting. I also wish she was light from the front more because all the nice detail in her fur gets lost in the shadows. The lighting also washes out the top of the photo a bit, and detail in her fur near her ears is lost a little bit. Really adorable cat, and a simple lighting change would really bring out her cute little face :3
Keep up the nice work

Hello! First of all, I let you know that this comment will enter the #FeedbackFrenzy's comment contest :)
Aww but look at her, she's so cute! You have an awesome kitty!
I love taking pictures of cats, and I know how difficult it can be. So firstly congratulations for this nice picture :aww: I like her expression, and those watery eyes are wonderful! It's quite detailed, the subject is on focus, and this is very good. I mean, I can even count her whiskers!
But there are a few things that can be improved. For example, try to have light not coming from behind the subject, like this one. You can see that all the face is too dark in the shade. A frontal light can bring out much more details and make all the photo look better ^^ Also, it looks quite crooked, maybe you can rotate the picture a bit to the right. One last thing: I suggest you to use a "smoother" background next time. The window, the house behind it etcetera are a bit distracting; I think it's better not to have many things behind a subject, so it will stand out more. Remember that the composition is important, too, to make a good impact with your photograph :)
I like this picture, however, it's cute and the kitty captured my eyes immediately! I'm sure you'll be able to take wonderful shots of Missy! :happybounce: Keep shooting!
